I practice corporate and commercial law, with a particular focus on contracts and intellectual property rights (IPR), litigation and private legal investigations.

My strengths lie in my broad legal expertise, ability to handle complex matters, identify legal and commercial risks, and experience from many fields of life and business. I am also deeply engaged in legal academia and maintain a continuous connection to the academic side of the legal profession.

EXPERIENCE

I have extensive experience in business law, gained through working in both large international firms and smaller, locally based practices. No case is too simple, and no challenge too complex.

I advise companies of all sizes across various industries. My work includes private legal investigations, licensing agreements, IP registrations, media and marketing law, litigation, dispute resolution, negotiations, agency and distribution agreements, customer and supplier contracts, employment law, IT agreements, and liability matters.

Over the years, I have practiced law in several law firms, including running my own firm for six years. I have also worked as a law clerk at the Supreme Court of Norway and served as an examiner and lecturer at the Universities of Oslo and Bergen.

My core legal specializations are in contract law and IP/IT law. I have strong experience working in English, including drafting and negotiating contracts in English.

METHOD

Strong contracts and well-protected intellectual property rights are among the most valuable tools a company can have. I help clients achieve this by identifying needs, drafting and negotiating agreements, and offering strategic legal support at every stage. PRIVATE LEGAL INVESTIGATION

Is there an internal issue in your company that you could use a legal investigation and assessment on? It can for instance be an employment law issue or a potential criminal offence. A private legal investigation can give the management the knowledge needed to make a decision or take action. I will look at the situation and help you determine what type of investigation you need. If a private legal investigation is the best option, we will put together a team of lawyers with the relevant expertise. We comply with the guidelines for private legal investigations from the Norwegian Lawyers Association. The investigations will clarify and assess the issue at hand and provide a legal assessment of it.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY (IPR)

I assist clients in protecting and managing intellectual property such as trademarks, software, designs, and ideas/inventions. This also includes safeguarding trade secrets and developing strategies for their protection. My assistance includes legal advice, drafting of agreements, support in registration processes, and representation in disputes.

MERGERS & ACQUISITIONS (M&A)

I act as a legal advisor in M&A transactions, with a particular focus on contract review and commercial legal issues that may arise throughout the process.

COMMERCIAL CONTRACTS

Commercial agreements—such as customer and supplier contracts, agency agreements, and cooperation agreements—are essential to efficient and profitable operations. I have extensive experience in advising on, drafting, negotiating, and managing such contracts.

EMPLOYMENT LAW

Sound navigation of employment law can be vital to business operations. I assist with legal advice, drafting employment documentation, negotiating settlements, and handling disputes.
